I am curious about how sustainability and green-friendly movements are measured. I did a little digging and found some interesting information. This chart shows green patents from 2014-2016. This chart shows air pollution rankings based on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidelines. Most nations are not fairing well within the scope of clean air based on these guidelines. This study reviews mathematical equations when it comes to performance. The Eurostat Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can guide you through a detailed explanation for the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. There are 17 SDGs and 169 objectives. Eurostat also monitors progress. SDGacademy also offers a course on the topic.

There are a lot of moving parts. There are a lot of things to consider. How can we play a part? You can vote with your fork, with your purchasing power, and with your awareness. When you decide to purchase eco-friendly products, you add demand to that market. Your choices are a deciding factor.
