Let’s dive into a university that has a plan to tackle climate change. Firstly, the university dedicated an entire page to the issue. This page offers more links to plans, projects, stories, and more. Diving even deeper offers a look into why this university has taken on this initiative. Canada’s Changing Climate Report is pretty direct as the title suggests. The climate is changing, and the probability of humans being part of the equation is “extremely likely.” SFU created a 20-year plan for sustainability. This plan includes building up their community, integrating sustainable practices into one’s daily life, considering “Aboriginal peoples,” valuing community wellness, creating zero waste facilities, and using 100% renewable energy systems.
